Grandstream

Grandstream's GRP carrier-grade range is fully supported for zero-touch provisioning — sixteen models from the compact GRP-2601 up to the GRP-2616, including the PoE (P) and Wi-Fi (W) variants.

Supported models

GRP-2601 / 2602 / 2603 / 2604 (+ P and W variants), GRP-2612 (+ P/W), GRP-2613, GRP-2614, GRP-2615, GRP-2616.

Provisioning

The standard flow (overview): assign the phone to a user with its MAC, point the phone's config server at your provisioning URL (or DHCP option 66 on the LAN), and it pulls its SIP account, key layout and display defaults. Reprovisioning applies without a reboot on GRPs, so key-layout changes land quietly.

Keys and features

BLF/DSS layouts, speed dials, parking keys and queue keys come from the user's key configuration in the console. Hot-desking is provisioned enabled, and the Device Web Console button opens the phone's own web UI with automatic login.

Remote use

  • Behind an SBC — fully automatic; pick the SBC when assigning the phone.
  • Via VPN — the VPN connection itself (server, port, cipher) is provisioned automatically, but Grandstream firmware cannot receive its VPN certificates via provisioning — the CA and client certificate must be uploaded once per phone in its web UI (Network → OpenVPN). Download them from the VPN client record in the console. For sites with more than a phone or two, an SBC avoids the per-phone ceremony.
